Production Assembly Worker -- 2nd/3rd Shift

Production Assembly Workers are responsible for the efficient inspection, packaging and labeling of our products. Production Assembly workers are the primary quality control people, quickly inspecting parts for flaws and/or damage, and then packaging and/or assembling product according to training and specification. 

Essential Job Functions

Based on training and review in the following areas, a successful Production Worker will be able to handle the following:

  • Quality Control – Our company’s primary goal is to produce quality products in an efficient and safe environment. Production Workers are the first line of quality control, assuring that all parts meet the quality standards set forth in training and according to specifications.
     
  • Packaging and Labeling – Production workers handle, assemble, and package small and large boxes into a variety of packaging materials, including fiberboard boxes, corrugated cartons, and shrink wrapping.  All finished goods must be labeled accurately, and according to specifications.
     
  • Communication – Production Workers must be able to speak English proficiently. Safety and efficiency are critical in the position, and professional communication among workers and supervisors is an important part of this position.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

Experience with and understanding of manufacturing processes is useful, especially injection molding operations.

  • Basic Language -- Production Workers will have a working knowledge of English, both written and oral, and basic math skills.  These skills are normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
     
  • Physical Requirement -- Production Assembly Workers are required to lift cartons and material of 35 pounds.  In addition, he or she must be capable of climbing ladders, moving goods with the use of hand carts and pallet jacks, and have the manual dexterity for assembling parts.

Working Conditions

This job requires work primarily in a factory environment, including the ability to maneuver in, around and over industrial equipment, hoses, and other elements typically found in a factory.

Second shift operates from 2:50pm to 10:50pm, Monday through Friday. Third shift operates from 10:40pm to 6:40am, Monday evening through Saturday morning.

Must be physically fit, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and use mechanical tools to move and adjust injection molding tools and equipment.
