Product Manager

Software Development | Portland, OR | Full Time

Job Description

What You'll Do:

The ideal candidate wants to join a team where our strength is engaging our clients in creating the highest value software features that leads to positive business outcomes. You feel at home being hands-on with complex technology, have a deep understanding of how it can bring value to multiple teams, and can drive towards the simplest solution based on feedback from many stakeholders. You continuously partner with our clients from product ideation to delivery, with a focus on both short-term wins and defining a long-term roadmap strategy. You’re a cross-functional leader who will work collaboratively with the development teams to get solutions out the door with eye for value and bias for action. You have passion working for a growing organization.

Your responsibilities:

  • Build relationships with our clients to understand the goals and expectations for their business over the next 1 to 3 years.

  • Plan out a Product Roadmap to support and align to our client’s business strategies.

  • Perform market research including competitor research, trends, and new technologies.

  • Prioritize and sequence the product backlog according to business value. You are relentless looking for short-term wins, while planning for long-term success.

  • Drive the elaboration of epics and features into user stories in narrative and visual formats.

  • Define and analyze metrics that inform the success of software we build. Use your analytical knowledge to communicate and drive decisions based on data that is available at the time.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships and communication with all team stakeholders.


  • Have 7+ years product owner or product manager experience in an agile environment with both a business and a technology focus.

  • Demonstrate competency in partnering with business owners to define right sized projects.

  • Adept at defining and measuring business value for each product enhancement identified.

  • Experience in consulting clients to successfully deliver large scale projects or programs.

  • Ability to work with teams that balance at least 10 concurrent product enhancements, all various sizes.

  • Experienced in disciplined agile software development and continuous delivery.

  • Act upon opportunities and involve and influence others in the accomplishment of worthwhile organizational goals.

  • Use creative thinking to see the big picture and the small details, and how they interrelate.

  • Strong communication and facilitation skills promoting vision, features, value and clarity on delivery expectations.
