Responsibilities:

  • Manages Multiple Lines of Business and Team/Resource initiatives both internally/externally. Delivers value by managing a portfolio of work for customers while offering strategy and alignment for success of the PMO 

  • Oversees the work of all project management personnel within our Skunkworks, New Accounts, Financials and Warehousing divisions

  • Manages Senior Project Managers, Project Managers, and Project Coordinators for success in their roles and responsibilities as it pertains to their day-to-day success.  

  • Mentors and coaches project managers and coordinators in best practices (methodologies, execution of work, escalation protocols, etc.) for domains to win every sprint 

  • Drives consistent communication and project tracking across a portfolio of work for customer visibility and internal awareness - working directly with the customer and stakeholders to reduce confusion and manage expectations, which includes work coming in  on time and on budget 

  • Supports adoption of project methodologies (lean, six sigma, Kanban, scrum, hybrid/enterprise agile) for successful execution of projects within domains, across teams, and throughout the organization 

  • Collaborates with other department managers and directors to prioritize work, set deadlines and assign resources for standardized processes to be upheld throughout the SDLC 

  • Responsible for analysis of financial data as it pertains to each project in your portfolio. This includes proper distribution and allocation of resources, the implementation of project budgets and the quantification of monetary risk and impact. In addition, you will frequently be asked to provide budget outlines and financial reports to executives  

  • Holds/supports customer meetings for reporting of portfolio health

  • Reports and funnels resource utilization to leadership for consideration of project team pipeline 

  • Ensures project governance, roles, responsibilities, and outcomes are maintained and improved upon by supporting the Head of Project and Program Management  

  • Funneling and assignment of priorities by team are managed and maintained on a weekly basis - works with Account Management, Product, Engineering to schedule work across the business 

  • Oversees weekly team strategy sessions and works with Head of Project & Program Management to support direction of dept. goals 

  • Support PMO with change requests from the customer and align to Project, Product and Team Lead shifts in work/priorities

  • Escalation point for all direct reports, senior management and directors

The Big 5:

  • Min. Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Operations, or other relevant designation

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in project and program management 

  • 3+ years of experience managing people, performance, developing processes and change management practices for medium to large teams 

  • Strong experience and verifiable success in delivering high-value client-facing software projects that span multiple teams and customers

  • Track record of developing and improving consistent and repeatable outcomes across a Project Management Office
