Job Description:

Allogene Therapeutics is seeking a Procurement Specialist to support the rapid growth at Allogene. The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for purchasing activities to support all aspects of Allogene’s operations and work closely with the company’s R&D, G&A and manufacturing groups. The Procurement Specialist will be a champion for Allogene’s policies and processes and be a key player in ensuring accuracy and integrity of spend. A successful candidate will be able to learn and adapt quickly to the changing nature of the business and work well with cross- functional teams.  This position reports to the Procurement Manager. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Review of purchase requisitions for accuracy and compliance with procurement policy
  • Purchase order creation and communication with vendors
  • Maintenance of back-up documentation to support procurement policy
  • Vendor on-boarding and resolution of inquiries with vendor
  • Work with Accounts Payable and FP&A teams
  • Drive process adherence and improvement
  • Ensure compliance with SOX requirements
  • Assist with other ad-hoc requests and projects as needed.

Position Requirements & Experience:

  • BA/BS degree, or equivalent related experience
  • 1-2 years of relevant work experience in procurement/sourcing 
  • Experience with SAP S/4 Hana, biotech/pharmaceuticals industry a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint, etc.)
  • Strong customer service orientation and sense of urgency are required Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented
  •  Motivated to learn new skills and take on challenges
  • Ability to work in a dynamic team environment
  •  Candidate must be authorized to work in the U.S.
