About the role:
Intern will be driving continuous improvements for optimizing efficiencies within manufacturing. This internship will focus on improvements from 3 facets: (1) improving metrics used to capture daily operational data to optimizes data visualization and manipulation (2) developing a particulate library for navigating particulate-related deviations (3) organizing raw materials and lab supplies in the manufacturing space through 5S principles. Intern will be reporting into Manufacturing Specialist Monica Kongpachith.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Learn/train on using tools, such as MS Teams (Power Automate, Sharepoint, etc.), Tableau, Smartsheets through one-on-one training or independent study
  • Qualify in gown training in manufacturing clean rooms to perform 5S activities
  • Lead meetings/discussion with manufacturing and quality assurance staff regarding improvement projects
  • Work with supervisor to determine timelines and goals
  • Develop presentation to present to staff at the end of internship on project goals, progression, and end results
  • Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements & Experience:

  • Pursuing degree in BS Degree in Biological Sciences, Engineering, or related field (or relevant experience)
  • 0-1 years of experience in similar role in biotechnology industry
  • Proficient with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Willingness to adapt to business needs and lead cross-functional meetings.
  • Excellent organizational skills and an ability to prioritize effectively to deliver results within reasonably established timelines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication are essential in this collaborative work environment.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.
