About the role:

Allogene is seeking an intern to join our Legal organization and contribute to our understanding of legal requirements and needs of the business. The intern will gain experience with legal matters covering a variety of areas that affect the company, which may include intellectual property, corporate law, contracts, privacy, and compliance. The Legal intern will report to Helene Orescan, Director, Corporate Counsel.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Working with attorneys and paralegals on legal matters based on the current needs of the business
  • Working with Allogene business groups to understand and find efficient, practical solutions to their legal requirements
  • Preparing legal education and presentations on compliance and IP matters
  • Assisting with ad-hoc projects, which may include researching legal issues and developments and preparing summaries of research
  • Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements & Experience:

  • First+ year law student at an ABA accredited institution
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Legal research skills using available resources
