Full-Stack Developer

The opportunity to be a vital member of the core engineering team and launch our much-anticipated new platform with health care providers, caregivers, and governments.

You’re a rockstar software engineer interested to become an early team member working on a health care software platform disrupting the $227.5 billion in-home health care industry. You love to write robust, maintainable, and clean code - and you can think beyond to solve complex challenges improving our heal care system. Alaunus is located in the Communitech Hub in the heart of the innovation district in downtown Kitchener, Ontario.


  • Design & code front-end web application modules & functionalities
  • Collaborate with our CTO & management team
  • Confirm to enterprise application development best practices to maintain sexy design, usability, & stability
  • Plan, build and test front-end modules in our SaaS applications
  • Share ideas & participate in product, UI, architecture design
  • Design flows and experiences based on real-world usage and business needs that are incredibly simple and intuitive to use
  • Participate in continually improving the existing practices, processes and development standards
  • Deliver across the entire app life cycle– concept, design, build, deploy, test, release to app stores, and support
  • Standardize and enforce coding standards and best practices, including optimizing the apps for performance
  • Keep up to date on the latest industry trends in mobile technologies
  • Participate in Peer-Review sessions as part of the application development process
  • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation

Must Have

  • B.S. in Software Engineering/Computer Science (or equivalent work experience)
  • Minimum 2+ years experience with front-end (JS/HTML/CSS) in a production environment
  • Front-end experience in a fast-paced agile environment
  • Advanced knowledge of JS, Angular/Angular2 (or similar front-end frameworks), CSS/Less, and DevOps technologies including git
  • Strong experience with HTML/CSS/JavaScript, Jquery 
  • Strong initiative, teamwork, and goal-orientation

Nice to Have

  • Experience consuming RESTfull APIs incluiincludingDB (NoSQL-based)
  • Interest in further learning Angular 2, Typescript
  • Interest in learning Reactive programming using Rxjs
  • Understanding of Node.js
  • Understanding of Front-end build system using  Webpack or Gulp or Grunt 
  • Building cross-platform mobile apps using PhoneGap/Cordova 
  • Experience with build management tools, project administration, and Agile methodologies including Scrum and Kanban
  • Experience with unit/integration testing
