A day in the life:

As the Submission Support Center Director, you will:  

  • In conjunction with line business leads, monitor pipeline to ensure a proactive alignment of resources (writers, proposal coordinators, graphics, desktop publishers, other proposal support activities)
  • Develop, execute and manage the proposal and schedule coordination to ensure timely and compliant proposal submissions
  • Engage with Capture Managers to develop proposal strategies, messaging that provides a compelling argumentation in support of proposal value propositions
  • Support Proposal Managers in reviewing proposal complexity for potential volume lead, writing support for line or proposal consultant augmentation
  • Coordinate capture and color team reviews for all stages of a qualified opportunities
  • Manage proposal collaboration, documentation and document retention throughout the proposal process and for reuse
  • Develop and maintain lessons learned repository
  • Provide coaching and training to proposal personnel
  • Share best practices and tools with capture managers and teams across the enterprise
  • Hire, develop, and lead a team of proposal professionals (to include consultants) that provide leadership and support to capture teams through the proposal process
  • Support some proposals either as a Proposal Manger, Book Boss, or Writer, as needed
  • Establish best practices and efficiencies to decrease B&P spend whenever possible

What we are expecting from you:

  • Experience successfully leading a proposal team
  • Experience leading as a Proposal Manager, Volume Lead, and/or performing as a writer on proposals
  • Excellent skills in critical thinking, writing, editing, visual element planning, and BOE development

 What we are desiring from you:

  • Proficiency in SharePoint and Adobe Suites
  • Experience with agile processes, tools and Cloud technology
  • Proficiency with MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
