A day in the life (just a few of the things you may do on any given day):

  • Accumulo Development: Design, implement, and maintain Accumulo-based solutions and databases according to project requirements.
  • Performance Optimization: Enhance and optimize the performance of Accumulo databases by fine-tuning configurations, improving data access patterns, and implementing best practices.
  • Data Modeling: Develop and maintain efficient data models within Accumulo for optimal data storage and retrieval.
  • Security Implementation: Implement robust security measures and access controls within Accumulo to safeguard sensitive data.
  • Integration: Collaborate with other teams to integrate Accumulo databases into various applications and systems.
  • Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor Accumulo clusters, diagnose issues, and perform necessary maintenance tasks to ensure the system's health and reliability.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for Accumulo solutions, including design, implementation, and maintenance processes.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, architects, and system administrators, to ensure seamless integration of Accumulo within various projects.

What we are expecting from you (i.e. the qualifications you must have):

  • Proven experience in Accumulo development and administration.
  • Direct experience with or knowledge of DataWave.
  • Proficiency in Java programming language.
  • Strong understanding of distributed computing principles.
  • Experience in designing and optimizing Accumulo databases for performance and scalability.
  • Solid knowledge of security implementations within Accumulo, including access control mechanisms.
  • Familiarity with other big data technologies and frameworks (Hadoop, HBase, etc.).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Experience with agile software development.
  • BS in Accounting, Information Systems or other related field.
  • Ability to obtain a Top Secret Federal Government clearance
  • Must successfully pass a background check and any additional customer background investigation requirements prior to employment

What we are desiring from you (i.e. the nice-to-have qualifications):

  • Experience with Amazon Web Services cloud computing platform.
  • Experience with classified, air-gapped, or high-side AWS Regions.
  • Experience with serverless development methodologies, frameworks, and AWS Services (such as Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, etc.).
  • Experience with CI/CD development tools such as Git, Jira, GitLab, Jenkins, etc.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with a keen sense of customer service.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Process-oriented with great documentation skills.
