The Role

The Business Development Director will focus on building relationships with potential clients and converting them to clients as their needs dictate. Our successful candidate will be comfortable opening doors with key stakeholders within large enterprise level prospects in the St. Louis market.

Main duties include researching client business referrals, networking, and utilizing social media to generate meaningful connections and leads. Adept at leveraging knowledge of 1904labs offerings to demonstrate our value to potential clients. The role will work closely with clients to create innovative, out of the box solutions for their needs and consult through the sales process.

Must be energetic, well-spoken, and eager to grow 1904labs presence in the St. Louis market.

Responsibilities

  • Identifying and securing qualified business opportunities within large enterprise level prospects in the St Louis area in order to meet and exceed annual sales goals

  • Creating informative presentations and developing qualified leads in conjunction with our marketing team

  • Creating and maintaining a database of prospective clients and pipeline of opportunities using our CRM software

  • Collaborating with management on sales goals, planning, and forecasting

Desired Skills

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to sell consulting and technology related services to large enterprises in St. Louis

  • Comfortable cultivating C-Level business relationships through conventional and creative mediums (phone, email, social media, local associations, etc)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to demonstrate patience and enthusiasm while communicating with potential clients

  • Experience with lead generation and prospect management

  • Self-motivated and self-directed with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently

  • Ability to work independently or as an active member of a team

  • Strong computer skills, including Google Suite for Business experience, preferred
