Associate Scientist, High-Throughput Chemistry (Development Group)

Dart NeuroScience LLC (DNS) is a privately held Delaware Limited Liability Company with offices in San Diego CA. DNS will discover new technologies and develop new therapies to help maintain cognitive vitality throughout life.

The successful candidate will be an accomplished synthetic/medicinal chemist with state of the art knowledge of synthetic organic chemistry, and will be a motivated, creative, hands-on laboratory scientist with the ability to interact effectively with team members. Under the supervision of senior scientific staff, the successful applicant will be involved in the design, development and synthesis of small molecule compound libraries, and the purification and characterization of the compounds produced. The successful candidate will also be required to undertake activities to support the operation of a chemistry laboratory.  Experience in the use of parallel synthesis techniques and the automated synthesis of small molecule libraries is desirable.


  • A B.S./M.S. in synthetic or medicinal chemistry, with 5+ years of industrial drug discovery experience.
  • Track record of successful contributions to drug discovery teams.
  • Ability to maintain and use modern chemical instrumentation (MS, LCMS, NMR).
    Motivated team player, able to work closely with other scientific disciplines involved in drug discovery to solve complex problems.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills.
