Job Description

InGenesis is currently seeking a Registered Nurse to work with our client in Albany, NY. In this role, you will be working in the NYS Office of Aging and Long-Term Care office.

Job Duties

· Participate in the development and delivery of educational efforts for hospice and palliative care related initiatives across New York State.

· Identify and recommend training needs, accurately interpret and communicate federal and state regulations, and review and analyze research and provider data to promote best clinical practices related to end of life care.

· Work directly with regional and central office staff responsible for quality assurance and improvement of Hospice and Palliative Care, taking steps to ensure guidelines are met and model practices communicated.

· Interpret and provide clarification on existing standards, requirements and policies and will represent the department at meetings and public forums focused on end-of-life care.

· Work with the Center Director to ensure the goals of the Center are met.

Preferred Qualifications

· Must be a Registered Professional Nurse, licensed and currently registered to practice nursing in New York State.

· Exceptional organizational skills, as well as strong time-management, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills, as well as a working knowledge of all Microsoft Office products, experience with data systems, and proficiency in working with MS Office products required.

· Familiar with standards, rules and guidelines governing end of life care.

· Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.

*Pay rate range commensurate on experience.
