Comprehensive Peri-Natal Health Worker (12498)

Job Description

InGenesis is seeking a Comprehensive Perinatal Services Worker to work with our client. In this role, you will provide Comprehensive Perinatal Services (CPSP) case coordination of prenatal patients to assessments and referrals.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provide case coordination for women’s health patients, including prenatal and postpartum patients. Act as patient advocate.
  • Provide CPSP services to pregnant women, including assessments, referrals, indicated follow-up, and other services as determined by the Comprehensive Perinatal Services Program.
  • Coordinate and monitor program compliance.
  • Review patient’s medical records for accuracy and completeness. Complete comprehensive charting on the day of the appointment.
  • Perform pregnancy tests and counsel patients on results and options.
  • Provide family planning options and counseling.
  • Schedule appointments with providers, Case Coordinators, internal and external referrals, as appropriate.
  • Assist with the implementation of health education classes, presentations, and other educational vehicles, as assigned.
  • Assist with women’s health and prenatal outreach in coordination with the Outreach Department.
  • Work flexible schedule and overtime, as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Comprehensive Perinatal Services Worker (CPHW) certification is preferred.
  • Family Planning Health Worker Certificate is preferred.
  • One year experience as a Comprehensive Perinatal Services Worker (CPHW) or Maternal and Child Health related experience.
  • Community or Public Health experience is preferred.
  • Bilingual; Spanish highly desirable.
  • Basic skill level proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Physical Demands:

  • Sitting, walking, and standing associated with a normal medical/clinical office environment.
  • Regular bending and stretching; and lifting.
  • Manual dexterity used to include, but not limited to, standard office equipment, and computer keyboard.
  • Reading and writing in order to review records for accuracy.


This position is dependent on contract award.
