BH Licensed Clinical Social Worker / LCSW (12467)

Behavioral Health | Fremont, CA | Contract | From $57.56 to $57.56 per hour

Job Description

InGenesis is seeking a BH Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to work with our client. In this role, you will be responsible for providing culturally primary care-focused behavioral health services and clinical consultation to patients with mental health needs.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform behavioral health screening, triage, evaluation, and assessment to determine the appropriate level of behavioral health care.
  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic methods, including cognitive behavior therapy, and contingency management.
  • Provide crisis intervention and behavioral health intervention.
  • Provide group interventions (treatment, psycho-education, health education).
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families to encourage adherence to medical and behavioral health issues.
  • Plan, coordinate, and facilitate referrals to existing community resources when indicated by assessed need.
  • Work closely with the care team.
  • Maintain current patient case records and prepare reports as indicated.
  • Work flexible schedule as necessary.
  • Review clinical interventions and case documentation with the Behavioral Health Director, and participate in staff meetings, training, case conferences, and peer review process.
  • Perform other related clinical and administrative duties as assigned by the Behavioral Health leadership team.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in social work/social welfare or doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology.
  • Current California license as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Psychologist (PsyD).
  • One year of directly related experience, including a background in primary care consultation, behavioral medicine, health psychology, or other relevant areas.
  • Experience in school-based/community health settings and/or in serving low-income, multicultural populations.
  • Bilingual (preferably Spanish) is highly desirable.

Physical Demands:

  • Sitting, walking, and standing associated with normal medical/clinical office environment.
  • Regular bending and stretching; and lifting.
  • Manual dexterity used to include, but not limited to, standard office equipment, and computer keyboard.
  • Traveling to work sites includes some exposure to outside elements.
  • Reading and writing to review records for accuracy.
