A leading digital streaming network is seeking a Commerce Writer & Documentation Specialist. The successful candidate will produce articles across several brands. The ideal candidate is an experienced commerce reporter. The company offers a great work environment!

E-commerce and Monetization Editor Pay and Benefits:

  • Hourly pay: $35/hr
  • Worksite: Leading digital streaming network. (Remote, Candidates must be located in the United States)
  • W2 Employment, Group Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Retirement Savings Program
  • 40 hours/week, 6 Month Assignment

E-commerce and Monetization Editor Responsibilities:

  • This writer will be responsible for pitching, writing and updating a robust daily slate of commerce articles daily, including breaking news about deals; deal roundups; evergreen shopping guides and more.

E-commerce and Monetization Editor Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of professional journalism or other relevant editorial experience in covering major consumer brands. Writing commerce content for an established e-commerce outlet – the Strategist, Forbes Vetted, Wirecutter, etc. — is preferred.
  • Demonstrate strong expertise in:
    • e-commerce editorial content,
    • the wide world of online shopping across a broad range of categories, including (but not limited to) kitchen, travel, consumer tech, furniture, apparel, streaming, large and small appliances and seasonal products,
    • consumer tech buying seasons and trends, and
    • e-commerce affiliate platforms (Rakuten, Amazon Affiliates, Howl).
  • Proven reporting record in following daily deals and a solid sense of what everyday consumers want to buy and when.
  • Expertise with commerce editorial writing - monetizing links, tracking affiliate sales, optimizing content for search engines, tracking down daily deals and following shopping trends
  • Seasoned pro in writing e-commerce articles from a shopper's perspective.
  • Candidates need to attach a cover letter and at least six recent samples (within the past year) of daily e-commerce coverage for consumers, with monetized links to their application.
